be my buddy
Born: 07/29/2012
14 lbs

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Sunapee is one of those very rare dogs that we could truly just post her pictures wihout any words and the application would flood in. But we cannot pass up this opportunity to brag. Sunapee is as hilarious as she looks. She is all pug, all the time, but with a gentleness about her that one might not expect. She is petite for her breed and sports the cutest grin we've ever seen. Sunapee was in the pound, certainly in danger of losing her life to overcrowding, and we just could not let that happen. She knows she was in a bad situation and never does a naughty thing because of it. Staff and volunteers are head over heels in love with this silly little creature, and the other dogs think she is just great. Sunapee is happy every minute of every day, full of life and love and sunshine.
Buddy Messages (2)
Her Buddy, Patti Stephens, from Dallas, TX, sent her this message: Sunapee, your face is the picture of joy, and I know you'll be a really fun family member! I hope your new family finds you soon, and am happy to be your buddy until they do! Love, Patti" Sunapee sends Patti many very happy tail wags and joyful smiles!
Her Buddy, Linda Hadden, from Transylvania, LA, sent her this message: "Hi Sunapee! I love your sweet face and want to be your buddy until you are adopted (which I hope is soon). I am elderly with one very sweet mini-doxie female named Tootsie who wandered up to my home one cold winter day many years ago and is the love of my life. She and I send our love!" Sunapee sends Tootsie oodles of happy puppy licks and sends Linda many grateful hugs and enthusiastic, gentle cuddles!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
