be my buddy
Rat Terrier
Born: 04/15/2008
Small
10 lbs
Male

Clark was brought to the shelter by some kind people after they found him starving and downtrodden on their doorstep. He had been in a rural area about 15 miles from the shelter, and, apparently, he had been staying in some rather unsavory places. After he arrived at HUA and was greeted with love and big bowls of scrumptious food, the grooming began. Three baths later, Clark's normal colors began to emerge and we ooohed and ahhhed over what a pretty little guy he is. Clark is so sweet and mild-mannered that he does not object to anything that needs to be done for him. He knows how hard life on the streets can be, and he is grateful for the simplest of things - good food, soft beds, comfy laps and walks in the grass. He is a precious fellow with the hugest of hearts.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Lori Laster, from Omaha, NE, sent him this message: "Dear Clark, I know you've been through some rough times, but you were very lucky to find your way to HUA. You will soon find your new family, who will be very lucky to take you home and treat you like the little Prince that you are! I'm sending you love until that happens, and beyond!" Clark sends Lori many shy but very grateful kisses and gentle hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
