Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Hancock, New Hampshire

Wolfie is dark and handsome, though not so tall. He came to us from a home in a small town nearby from a family that could no longer care for him. He was a bit shell-shocked at first and wasn't quite sure what he was doing here. But because he is a super thinker, he figured things out pretty quickly and learned how to do all sorts of cute things to get what he wanted. One of the things Wolf wants (and gets) is a great daily walk with his caregiver, Rosanna. He is a master at the art of walking on the end of a leash. And he loves it so much that we never deny him, even on the yuckiest of weather days. We can't resist his silly, happy smile and crazily wagging tail once he is stepping out the door. Wolf has been a nice little gentleman with the other small dogs and has made many new friends here, but he is a dog that knows a home and will be thrilled once he finds his new one.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Susan Gregerson, from Edmonds, WA, sent him this message: "I would love to have you join us in our home! I am not sure we can right now, but I am hoping that it might happen someday soon. We have lots of animals right now (4 cats and a chihuahua mix doggie). But we'd love to have you! We just have to make sure we are ready for you! In the meantime, we love looking at your lovely face and hope that you are ok until you find your forever home!" Wolfie sends Susan and her whole family (human and four-legged) lots of happy tail wags and little, joyful kisses!
His Buddy, Rana Evans, from Jacksonville, FL, sent him this message: "Wolf, you are a perfect schipperke, my favorite breed. Sending you many big kisses and belly rubs. Rana and alumni Portia." Wolf sends Portia many happy doggie kisses, thanks Rana for the belly rubs and sends her many grateful hugs and happy kisses, too!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
