Manny

be my buddy
Terrier Mix
Born: 06/03/2009
Small
16 lbs
Male

Manny was in a shelter in South Dakota that wanted to make sure that they did not have to put him to sleep. The shelter is over-crowded and the employees there must make heart breaking decisions every day about which dogs are adoptable and which must be put down. Manny is a dog that makes people happy. He has energy to play, is nice to his dog friends, and will give his family many stories to share. We see him sitting beside his mom and dad at a little league game, cheering on his human brothers and sisters. We see him greeting the whole team with wags, kisses and high-fives. Manny is not of any designer or special breed. He doesn't even require fancy grooming. He is just a dog, looking for a family, wanting a home, and waiting patiently for those very simple things to happen.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Stephanie Pollack, from Warren, MI, sent him this message: "Manny you are a handsome boy, you deserve lots of love, hugs and affection. Kisses and hugs from the Pollacks!" Sweet Manny thanks the Pollack family for the hugs and kisses, and sends them many grateful kisses, happy hugs and playful tail wags in return!
His Buddy, L.A. Verner, from Fremont, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Hope there is a smile in your day!" Manny sends L.A. many happy, grateful hugs, kisses and smiles.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
