Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Lees Summit, Missouri!

Quinn is our latest "Benji" to join the shelter family. He is so cute we can barely stand it. He is a happy, playful, goofy little guy with a big personality. We think he may have been one of the dogs tossed out or abandoned due to the flooding situation near the shelter, as we found him wandering along the highway looking bewildered and confused. Quinn was a little unsure when we brought him to HUA and didn't quite understand what the deal was. He has since warmed up so nicely to the volunteers, workers and dogs. He still needs to feel comfortable before showering a person with hugs and kisses, but that is quite understandable given what he's been through. Quinn gets along with his doggy friends but he prefers to be the boss of things. He knows he is smarter than most and therefore wants to let his room-mates know how things are supposed to be. We actually sort of agree with him, because his ideas are good. Quinn would love an active family who has a large basket of toys for him to sort through. He is a loveable, friendly boy who just wants some stability, security and safety in his forever home.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Melanie Bisson, from Mound, Minnesota, sent him this message: "Hi Quinn! I am Bacon! I used to live at HUA, too! Us Terrier dudes ROCK! My Mama says pretty soon you will have a family all your own, with lots of toys, and love, just like me. But until you do, HUA is a pretty great place to be. Love & Stuff, Bacon" Quinn sends Melanie and Sir Bacon the Great many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
His Buddy, Melissa Mariani, from Stewartsville, New Jersey, sent him this message: "I wish I could bring you home to NJ to live with me Quinn! Hopefully you find a wonderful home where you'll be appreciated very very soon!! Love, Melissa" Quinn sends Melissa many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
