Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Sometimes, when gathering around the dinner table, a family decides together that it's time to get a dog. A family dog. A dog that will fetch and play and sit nicely for treats. A dog that loves going on walks, thinks camping is the best adventure in the world and wants to attend his kids' baseball games. This dog will collapse at the end of the day in happy, satisfied exhaustion. He will curl up at the foot of his person's bed, grinning happily and dreaming about the next day's awesome times. He will love car rides, comfy beds, squeaky toys, belly rubs and maybe even bath time. Hey Family!! Here's your dog!! Although Ruffin was left tied to a chain outside in the freakishly freezing Nebraska winter when his people left the home, although he came to HUA starving, just skin and bones, and filthy from the mud that was his bed, his outlook on life is hopeful and joyous. He is ready to go home.
Buddy Messages (1)
His buddy, Christy Meyen, from Omaha, NE, sent him this message: "If I didn't already have 3 dogs, I would bring you home myself! You are the sweetest. I am sure you will find your forever home very soon. xoxo - Christy, Chelsea, Brody, & Chance." Ruffin sends Christy, Chelsea, Brody, and Chance many grateful kisses and happy tail wags.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
