Ruger Featured

be my buddy
Westie Mix
Born: 08/06/2010
Small
9 lbs
Male

Ruger was pulled from a pound in Minnesota where his future had been very bleak. We do not know why he was there. We do not know why nobody showed up to claim him. Knowing him as we do, it is unfathomable that people were not frantically searching for him. Ruger is a doll. He is super friendly and nice to everybody. He loves people so much that he let us put a somewhat humiliating candy cane headband on him for Christmas pictures and he did not even try to rip our hands to pieces. Rather, he sat nice and still and barely gave a dirty look. That is one seriously good dog. Ruger would love a home. He is an easy liver, perfect for just about any family situation. He has requested no more silly costumes, but we had to tell him we couldn't make any promises in that regard.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Sherry Webber, from Omaha, NE, sent him this message: "Ruger, you are such a sweetheart! I know you will find a forever home before long. I can tell that you will bring such joy to just the right family and you will enjoy every minute of it! My fur babies, Rusty and Zoey, send their love and say "Woof" to you! Love and hugs, Sherry Webber" Ruger sends Sherry, Rusty and Zoey many playful hugs and oodles of grateful kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
