Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Topeka, Kansas.

Abbie is one awesome Corgi! She is full of zest and keeps us highly entertained with her antics. She is a big game player and loves her dog friends and romping in the recess yard. Abbie gets us laughing when she is focusing in on her toys. If they don't do what she wants them to do, she barks at them. Abbie can be strong willed at times, dare we even say bull headed? She wants what she wants when she wants it. Sometimes, we humans have to disagree with her. Abbie needs a strong voice and people who are willing to say NO when it is necessary. She's a smart girl and will catch on quickly as to who is really the boss as long as she does not get the upper hand. We think Abbie would do wonderfully with some obedience training so she has an outlet for her intelligence. Abbie was in a home before and given to us because her owners could no longer care for her. She is very ready to start a new life with people (and maybe a doggy brother or sister) who will give her the training and discipline, and love, she needs to become a beautiful addition to her family.
Buddy Messages (2)
Her Buddy, Liz Miller, from Langhorne, Pennsylvania, sent her this message: "You are the most beautiful little girl! I want to help you until you find your forever home.... maybe with us! We'll see!" Abbie sends Liz many happy, grateful corgi girl kisses.
Her Buddy, Amy Sincin, from Marlboro, New Jersey, sent her this message: "Oh, Abbie, you are a beautiful little girl! You remind me so much of my Corgi, Bailey, who was the love of my life for 12 years. I didn't realize until after she died that she had been born at a puppy mill! I'm so glad I was able to give her a wonderful life. I wish the same for you!" Abbie sends Amy many happy, grateful Corgi girl hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
