Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

A very small female dog sat shivering in the cold in a Nebraska pound. Very soon she would have been euthanized. Some kind people were there for this little one when she could be released and she was brought straight to the shelter. Adawna is a loving little dog, so loyal to the people that she knows and trusts here. She has left the Intake area now and gone to the Homeward Bound building, but when she is brought back to visit, she runs up to every caregiver she knows to give a sweet greeting. She plays nicely with her canine pals and doesn't have a bad thought about anybody or anything. We're not sure how this precious little girl ended up in the pound for she is as darling as the day is long, but we're very happy that she landed here at HUA where she is certain to find the loving home she deserves.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Mark Hendricks, from Omaha, NE, sent her this message: "You're in good care now. It won't be long until someone sees you and takes you to a good home." Adawna sends Mark many tiny kisses and very grateful hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
