Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Our lovely gentle giant Allie was pulled from a shelter in western Nebraska by a former HUA adopter who met her and knew immediately that Hearts United was where she needed to be in order to score the perfect home. She is a wonder and a delight and we all adore her. Allie thinks people are the greatest of all creations. She has so many things to tell us, and can often be seen sitting next to a worker or a volunteer carrying on a deep conversation. She talks and talks and then listens intently to our side of the story. It is an absolute riot. She has come a long way with her leash training and is now understanding that the leash means a fun adventure. Allie lives alone here at the shelter as she does not always prefer the company of the other large dogs. She does seem to get along with a select few of the smaller ones, but she'd probably do best as an only child. Any prospective family with another dog in the house would have to agree to several meetings before bringing her home, as the last thing we'd want is for our gorgeous girl to find a family only to be returned. Allie is a big lover and a big leaner, with a gorgeous, soft coat and a great appreciation for human love and affection.
Buddy Messages (3)
Her Buddy, Marcy McReynolds from Colorado Springs, CO, sent her this message: "I love St. Bernards. Allie, you're just petite for a Saint, but all Saints have huge hearts and I'm sure you're ready to give yours to the right person. I'm betting it won't be long now until that special person finds you, pretty girl. (I happen to know that lots of people don't mind big sloppy kisses!)" Allie sends Marcy and her pups many big sloppy kisses and grateful hugs!
Her Buddies, Leslie and Steve Bogue, from Omaha, NE, sent her this message: "Allie, we are sending our love and hoping for the best adoption ever!" Allie sends Leslie and Steve many grateful kisses and big hugs!
Her Buddy, Ann Byrum from Ridgeway, SC, sent her this message: "Allie, you are a big, beautiful girl and I hope you find your forever home. They will indeed be lucky to have such a pretty girl in the house." Allie sends Ann many grateful hand shakes and kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
