Bichon Frise

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Colorado.

Allison was a breeding dog at a puppy mill. When she no longer produced puppies she was taken to a vet clinic to be killed. Allison is ONLY FIVE YEARS OLD! Her life is far from over. In fact it is just beginning. The veterinarian refused to put Allison down and searched high and low until he found a rescue group who would take her. She is a very sweet girl and she loves her new life at HUA. We are so happy he stood up for what he knew was right and helped this precious girl to a better life. Allison is still timid around people, but she is a smart girl who will soon figure out that her bad days are behind her. There will be no more puppies, no more pain, only love and goodness in her life. Allison is a female Bichon Frise. She was born 05/28/03 and weighs 12 pounds.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Karen Bentz, from Littleton, Colorado, sent her this message: "Corgis Connor and Maggie send their good wishes from Littleton, Colorado. We are glad that your puppy mill life is behind you and are hoping that a loving family will adopt you soon!" Allison sends Karen and her sweet Corgis many happy, grateful kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
