Now living happily in Sutton, MA.
Arietta was rescued from a Nebraska puppy mill where she spent nearly 10 miserable years giving birth to litter after litter of puppies. She no longer was able to give birth to live pups anymore so the breeder didn't want her. We had a quite a suprise a few days after Arietta's arrival. She gave birth! She showed no signs of being pregnant, she was much too old to be pregnant. It was a bad situation but she did ok. Only one of her puppies survived, being lovingly bottle fed by our staff members and volunteers every two hours around the clock. We named him Toro because he was such a strong little fellow, a real fighter. Toro has already been adopted by a wonderful family. Now Arietta would very much like a home. And doesn't she deserve it after all she has endured? Half of her life has been stolen from her. She is so happy now to be free. She would love to be in a home of her very own to be loved and adored like she should have been all these years. It took her awhile to warm up to people and realize that we meant her no harm, but she is doing very well now. She lost 17 teeth at her first vet visit, and her left patella is noted as abnormal, but should not require an operation. She is a dear, sweet girl who will bring so much joy to a special person who would chose to adopt her. Arietta is a female Pomeranian. She was born in 1999 and weighs 10 pounds.
