Birdie

be my buddy
Italian Greyhound
Born: 01/01/1998
Small
8 lbs
Female

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Birdie and Par were found on a golf course in Wyoming and brought in to local animal control. They were scared, hungry, cold, alone and Birdie was half bald from mange. It is thought that perhaps a local puppy mill dumped them because they were no longer wanted. The staff at HUA says that Birdie reminds them of a little old lady who is sweet as sugar and has lots of stories to tell you. There is alot of love in this little girl just waiting to come out. She was afraid of humans at first but now has bright sparks of hope in her lovely, big soulful eyes. We can tell that she knows she is in a place of warmth and love, and she is grateful for it. Birdie is an Italian Greyhound mix. She was born in 1998 and weighs 7.5 pounds.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Annmarie Krikke, from Charlotte, North Carolina, sent her this message: "You are a gorgeous little girl. Soon you will have a home of your own where you will be appreciated for your beauty, both inner and outer." Birdie sends many grateful kisses to Annmarie for her loving kindess.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
