Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Brinka is SUCH a good, good girl. She is elegant, worldly, patient and loyal. She has been through some difficult times, but we don't know exactly what happened to her. Brinka was found limping down a rural highway, with what was clearly a very bad injury to her hip. We shudder to think that maybe she was hit by a car and left to fend for herself. We took her in and sent her to the very best surgeons to see if her injury could be mended. Brinka came through with flying colors and although long, her recovery has been successful. She loves her daily walks and knows that every step she takes makes her stronger and will help her get back to romping and zooming. She loves all people and is so grateful for the attention she receives. She is gentle with the other dogs and thinks the puppies are quite comical. Brinka is finally feeling well and is ready to show her new family what a beautiful and devoted girl she is.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Mary Catanzaro, from Wauconda, Illinois, sent her this message: "We humans are so careless, and yet, Brinka the Beautiful still loves us! It is what makes dogs wonderful, and I am happy to be a buddy to one so deserving! Thank you HUA for caring for such a dear girl! Love from Mary Kay, the human for Rollo, Nestle and Candy." Brinka sends Mary Kay, Rollo, Nestle and Candy many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
