Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska

Captain Jack came in as a tiny kitten with a severe eye injury. He went straight to the vet, who determined that the eye could not be saved. This does not bother Captain Jack in the least. He's a very curious fellow and explores the cat towers and our overhead cat trails. He's mastered the spiral staircase. He loves sitting in the big windows and gets very excited when he spots a bug or a bird. The baskets of cat toys are a delight to him, and he is an expert at bat-and-pounce.

Jack is also a greeter in the cat room, politely introducing himself and inviting the visitor to cuddle with him for a while. His markings remind us of a pirate's map of the islands, and Captain Jack himself is the treasure. He is a delightful boy who is ready to share a bounty of love with his people.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Judy Jennings, from Red Oak, IA, sent him this message: "You are so beautiful Captain Jack." Jack sends Judy lots of very affectionate purrs and many grateful kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
