Carlisle Featured

be my buddy
Born: 11/17/2009
14 lbs

Carlisle was brought to HUA along with his good buddy, Paxton, when their owners became unable to properly care for them. Their reputation at the shelter has earned them the title of "perfect angels." They are the sweetest of boys and adore being around every person that crosses their paths. Carlisle is particularly fond of all the great toys spread about the place and plays with one after another after another. He knows the routine and gets so excited when his favorite volunteers visit. He is up and happy every morning waiting excitedly for breakfast because he knows recess is on the horizon. He is a beautiful, lovely, spunky spirit who grabs the hearts of all who meet him.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Rachel Johnson, from Geneva, IL, sent him this message: "Your picture popped up on Facebook and I fell in love. They said you needed a Buddy and I was hoping I could at least be there for you in that way. (You know I would like to have you as my very own, but sometimes we can't share our lives with the one we love.) Be a good boy and maybe one of those volunteers that get to spend time with you will give you a kiss from me." Carlisle loved the kiss, and is sending Rachel many happy kisses in return, along with lots of cuddly hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
