Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Independence, Missouri.

Chrys was rescued from a Missouri puppy mill. At the age of 4 her body had been so badly neglected and abused that she lost 19 teeth at her first vet visit. Weighing only 4 pounds those years of giving birth to litter after litter of pups with obviously no substantial vet care really took its toll. Chrys is trying to enjoy her freedom and learn to trust people. She does play chase and acts like she doesn't want to be caught, but when she is caught and held by the people she decides that she likes it. Will you adopt Chrys, help mend her broken heart and teach her that people will be good and her life can now be fun? She will be ever so grateful when she realizes that she is safe and loved. We make progress every day but to have a home of her own would be a dream come true. A dream she doesn't even know exists. Chrys is a female Chihuahua. She was born 10/17/04 and weighs 4.2 pounds.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Terri Bertrando, from Avondale, Pennsylvania, sent her this message: "I am in love with you sweet heart goes out to you. I hope that my small monthly pledge will help give you the happiness you deserve. If I could, I would adopt you in a heartbeat but my high maintenance pets need a lot from me right now! Loves to you, Mama B!" Chrys sends Terri many happy, grateful Chihuahua girl kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
