Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Coral is officially the 1st dog to ever go up on our website described as a MUTT. Most of the time, we have some idea of what breeds make up our dogs based on appearance and temperament, but Coral has us utterly stumped. What we are certain of, however, is that she is a brilliant, beautiful, young, sweet, energetic animal who takes great pride in bringing smiles to all of our faces every day. She has taken a great liking to the agility yard and is teaching herself all sorts of fabulous tricks. She loves toys and loves exploring. She is super nice to the other dogs and is just happy to be alive. Coral was at the pound in a nearby city when one of our employees saw her and instantly fell in love. We have no idea what her beginnings were like, but Coral never dwells in the past. She greets every day with enthusiasm and knows that a great adventure awaits her. We think she is best mutt ever. To quote one of our directors who cannot get enough of this special girl: "Call her a mutt, a mutt of unknown origin, a multi-generational mutt? Mutts are good and the more mutt the better. They are the perfect example of non-human influence on natural selection and thinking we know best." Eloquently put and right on the money, we think.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Victoria Driver, from Chicago, Illinois, sent her this message: "You are so cute! I wish you could come and join my pack in Chicago. I will think of you everyday as we wait for your forever family to appear. And won't that be an exciting day!" Coral sends Victoria many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
