Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Monument, Colorado.

Dasher was found wandering right outside our door. Possibly someone left him with us without making sure he got all the way to safety. Dasher is an amazingly handsome, exceptionally intelligent, fun-loving young man. We think he was abused because he will cower sometimes when a hand is raised. He does love people though and is eager to please. He just needs reassurance that he will be safe and loved, which he is certainly getting from his wonderful caregivers at HUA. He goes out often for play time in the yard and loves every minute of rolling in the grass and playing with his pals. He is a big clown with an amazing personality. We will never know who got Dasher out of his bad situation and brought him to HUA, but we are happy he is here, and will be even happier when he finds a loving home to treasure him always.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Julie Jorgensen, from Omaha, Nebraska, sent him this message: "You remind me of a dog I had as a child. We found her during a snowstorm huddled against a building after someone had dumped her. I am sure you are as lovely as she was and someone will adopt you soon." Dasher sends Julie many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
