Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in New Jersey.

Diez, this tiny little boy, was found wandering alone in the countryside, scared to death and becoming sick from malnutrition. Chihuahuas are not known for their hunting abilities, so of course Diez was not able to feed himself out in the wild. He was timid at first, which is entirely understandable. We knew he was feeling fragile and overwhelmed so we were extra gentle with him and let him know with sweet words how proud we were of him for just surviving. As chihuahuas do, Diez could not stop himself from loving us and is now a devoted little poot who snuggles and kisses and enjoys every little moment with people. We're not sure Diez ever had a home. He could have been thrown out by a breeder for not producing. We'll never know why he came to us, but we sure are glad he did. We have the pleasure of finding him someone to love him forever, to cherish him and to spoil him till the end of his days.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Jamie Leonheart, from Ellsworth Airforce Base, South Dakota, sent him this message: "Hi Diez, I wish I could adopt you, but my kitties Simba and Smokey are all we can have for now. I'm honored to be your buddy while you wait for a forever home! Many hugs and kisses from me and purrs from the kitties." Diez sends Jamie, Simba and Smokey many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
