Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

Duval came from a horrible puppy mill in Grand Island, Nebraska. He was kept outdoors with only a plastic barrel for a house. Because of his rough treatment Duval is still nervous and timid. He needs more convincing that people will be good to him. We are reaching him though, we know it. There is a spark in his eye and a spring in his step that he did not have when he first arrived. He is curious about all that goes on around him. He is taking it all in, still processing and deciding what his role should be. At his first vet visit he lost 3 teeth and began treatment for horrible ear infections. We know that he is happier now that he feels better. He loves his soft new blankets and good, nutritious food. Duval will be a confident little show stopper when he fully realizes that the world is his now. He is very smart, so we don't think it will be long before he is the life of the party. Duval is a male Poodle. He was born 06/25/01 and weighs 7.2 pounds.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Stef Wiseman, from George Washington University, in Washington, DC sent him this message: "I know you will find the perfect home. I send you much love and so does Koby, my border collie/lab mix. Be happy sweet little one." Duval sends Stef and Koby many happy, grateful Poodle boy kisses and hugs.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
