Homeward bound-adopted!

Eimer was rescued from a city pound. His family fell on hard times and could no longer care for him. A kind person came across Eimer and could not let him die at the pound, so he came to HUA. He is just the best boy ever! We are so happy he is here. Eimer adores attention from the humans. He is such a little love bug. He likes to give kisses and sit in laps. He loves food and adores hanging out in the sun room. This boy is so grateful that his life is not over, it's only just beginning. He cannot wait to have a family of his very own who will care for him and love him forever. Eimer has cataracts in both eyes, and his vision is deteriorating, but he always knows just where to go to find a lap, get a kiss or a pat on the head. Eimer is a male Dachshund. He was born in 2000 and weighs 14.8 pounds.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Nicole Tonkonog, from Boston, Massachusetts, sent him this message: "You are a beautiful boy. A lucky famiy will adopt you and you will enrich their lives with your kindness and love." Eimer sends Nicole sweet, happy Dachshund boy kisses for her love and support.
His Buddies, Steph, Keith and Grace Thomas, from Omaha, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Hi Eimer! It's your friend from Omaha. We adopted your buddy Grace. We wish we could have adopted you too. All of the puppy kisses you gave us when we visited you still make us smile and laugh. You are so precious and special and every bit as loveable as described. Soon a family will sweep you off your feet and be able to give you the love and attention you deserve. We love you! Steph, Keith and Grace." Eimer sends the Thomas family many happy, grateful Dachshund boy kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
