Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

Over the last several years, we have rescued hundreds of dogs from a puppy mill in Missouri that was an absolute nightmare. Finally, the doors have been shut and we no longer have to lie awake at night, wondering how many shih tzus, schnauzers, dachshunds, chihuahuas, cairn terriers - you name it, they bred them - are out in the boiling heat or freezing cold, suffering from ungodly neglect. Gabby came from that place. Upon arriving, she promptly gave birth to four of the sweetness pups we've ever seen. Gabby was a great mom and she doted on her little ones. They've since been adopted and Gabby finally has the freedom to do as she pleases. And do as she pleases she does. She is an uproariously funny little character who has the strongest will to survive. She knows her horrible life in the mill has taken a 180 degree turn and she is in the Honeymoon Phase. She is wonderful to everyone and takes everything in stride. She is mischievous, sweet, busy, and nosey. Gabby will be a fabulous addition to just about any family who would love to have a funny, happy little critter running about underfoot.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
