Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Westminster, CO.

Yes, we have a little lion on campus. His name is Gatsby and every ounce of him is happiness and love. Gatsby's family left, just up and left him and Edward the Scottie behind, locked in a small pen to fend for themselves. Although this darling boy knows what it means to be uncared for and unloved, he holds no grudges against humans. To the contrary, Gatsby cannot get enough attention. He loves everybody and everything. He is overjoyed by everything he gets to do. Gatsby tested positive for heartworms and has been the perfect patient throughout the long and arduous treatment process. We are overjoyed that his friend Edward has found a home and we think it would be fabulous if Gatsby could get one soon too.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Donna Corbett, from Egg Harbor Twp, NJ, sent him this message: "Hi Gatsby, You are just so beautiful and it sounds like you have the spirit to match. You will find your new forever family soon. In the meantime, enjoy all your human and animal friends at HUA. Sending you many hugs and kisses. Your buddy, Donna" Gatsby is thrilled with all the hugs and kisses, and sends Donna gleeful smiles, happy tail wags and many grateful kisses in return!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
