Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska

Miss Gwenyth came to us straight from Miss Arterbury's Finishing School for Dogs, where she was head of the class in Hospitality and Deportment. Well, really she came to us as a stray from a nearby town, arriving a tangled mess with wire stuck in her fur, but had we not known her origins we would have guessed finishing school all the way.

Gwenyth is the perfect lady: She walks well on a leash. She greets visitors politely and invites them to sit for a spell. She is always willing to lend a sympathetic ear. She gets along perfectly with the somewhat less-refined dogs who we placed her with in the hope that Miss Gwenyth would perhaps start a little finishing school of her own. Gwenyth's one lapse in letter-perfect etiquette is that she loves to sit on a sofa beside her visitors. But when she rests her head on your lap, beautiful brown eyes looking into yours as she nudges your hand to encourage more petting, we'll bet you decide that perfection in manners is overrated. We sure did!

Her Buddy, Debra Ford, from Ames, IA, sent her this message: "You are a gorgeous young lady, Gwenyth, and I hope your forever family finds you quickly! Kisses and smooches to you, sweetie!" Gwenyth sends Debra LOTS of grateful kisses and hugs in return!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
