Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Hershel is a huge favorite with some of our dedicated volunteers. When they are around, his tiny feet do not touch the ground. He is pampered and loved on and carried about as if he were royalty and he loves every second of it. Hershel was rescued from a puppy mill after having lived the first 8 years of his precious life in a tiny wire cage. People who meet him can't believe that he has no emotional scarring, but he does not. He has never met an enemy. He adores everyone and skitters about visiting like it was a job he was born to do. Although he is tiny, he is quite hearty and wants to be included in all the fun games. Actually, he has come to expect it. He is quite the feisty little character and keeps us laughing all day long.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Marcy McReynolds from Colorado Springs, CO, sent him this message: "Sweet little Hershel, you sound like a happy boy, but you don't smile! Well, I bet you do in person, just camera shy. You just keep charming people, and one day soon someone is going to fall in love with you and decide they just can't live another day without you in their life. You deserve the best and I'll be praying that you get it." Hershel agrees wholeheartedly with Marcy and sends her grateful little kisses and hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
