Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Nevada, Missouri.

One day we received a call from a person who lived on an acreage near the small town of Johnson. The lady was very distressed to have found a beautiful little white dog that had collapsed in her driveway and needed help right away. When we arrived at the house, the driveway is where Johnny remained, half starved, looking mangy, and covered in ticks. When we got him back to HUA and cleaned up, Johnny spent the next few days resting and devouring huge delicious meals. Once he came back to life, we discovered a dog with the sweetest temperament, one that wants only to love and be loved. Johnny Johnson is so grateful for safety and comfort and has become a big favorite with the staff and volunteers, and it's been said that he bears a striking resemblance to a certain famous feline. Johnny is neither grumpy nor a cat, but he does sort of relish the idea of his darling face on mousepads, coffee mugs and t-shirts. Although he will probably never forget about his prior circumstances, Johnny only looks ahead to the wonderful things his new life has to offer.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Stacy Burbach, from Lincoln, NE, sent him this message: "Dear Johnny, you are such a handsome fellow and I enjoyed meeting you. I just know you will find your forever family very soon. Once they meet you they will have to take you home as you are very charming. Molly and I send you our love!" Johnny sends Stacy and HUA alum Molly lots of happy kisses and cuddly hugs!
His Buddy, Danielle Ryan, from Shakopee, MN, sent him this message: "Hey Johnny - you have had a hard life and I want to make sure the future is better for you. Certainly sounds like the loving people at HUA helped you out and I want to add to that love. I hope by being your buddy, you receive the best food, toys and care until that special someone adopts you. Thinking of you, Danielle Ryan" Johnny assures Danielle that he is getting lots of attention at HUA, and sends her many happy kisses and grateful hugs for helping with his care!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
