Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Fremont, Nebraska

Joyce was a stray in a nearby town when she came to us along with her sister Janeal. Young Joyce is a little more shy than her social-butterfly sister, but she's started warming up nicely to people and now joins Janeal and their young roommates in enthusiastic welcome of visitors. Joyce is a bright-eyed young lady, and her sweet and kind disposition is a hint of the beautiful, gentle lady she will grow into. Her smile is amazing and she loves to explore and play with toys. She has decided that squeaky ones are the very best!
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Edna Shattuck, from Washington, DC, sent her this message: "Hello Joyce: What a gorgeous girl you are with those bright eyes and beautiful smile. I have a hunch that you'll be moving on to your forever home very soon. In fact, there might be a family looking at you right now that wants to give you big hugs, oodles of pats and warm laps to cuddle in. My husband and our darling Roxy (an HUA graduate) share your birthday so every November 9th we'll give Roxy an extra belly rub in your honor. Until then we're sending you lots of air kisses and our best wishes for a new life full of love and happiness." Joyce sends Edna, her husband AND Roxy many gentle, grateful kisses and LOTS of very happy tail wags!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
