Keela

be my buddy
Yorkshire Terrier
Born: 04/14/2001
Small
13 lbs
Female

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Nebraska.

Keela was rescued from a disgusting puppy mill in Iowa, where she spent her entire life crammed in a tiny and cold cage. She is free from the mill and is slowly beginning to realize that she has a brand new life ahead of her. At her first vet visit, Keela lost 14 teeth. The good news is that she is now able to fully enjoy the high-quality and yummy food at HUA. She is timid and unsure of people but we are gaining her trust, a little each day. Just look at her eyes. You can see how much she wants to trust humans, but we know it will take time, patience, tender touches, and a lot of love. Keela is so happy to be free and we know she will be even happier once she finds her forever home!
Buddy Messages (1)
Cinder, Chip & Odette want to buddy up with Keela! Chip & Odette hope she finds a Yorkie lover as wonderful as Debra to bring her home. And Cinder hopes that her forever home includes someone as loving & caring as Karen & Rex! Keela sends Cinder, Chip, Odette, Karen and Rex many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
