Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living in Omaha, Nebraska.

Kris was born in a small southern town in Nebraska at a particularly awful puppy mill. Dogs taken from there were in bad shape, with deformities and other serious health issues. But thankfully, Kris made it out of there with her wits and her health intact. She is a funny little thing, very curious and full of wonder. She is out-going, happy, friendly and sweet. We can be sure that she was used to breed as often as possible just based on her beautiful colors and tiny stature. It breaks our hearts to think of all the puppies she had that either died or were snatched from her too early only to be sold to pet stores as if they were inventory rather than precious babies. Kris obviously possesses a forgiving nature and inherent trust for people and is determined to live a full and joyous life regardless of her terrifying beginnings. We are super proud of her and quite in love with this precious package.

Her Buddy, Diane Baker, from Iowa City, IA, sent her this message: "Hello tiny little dog! I hope you will find a wonderful home where you are given the love you deserve." Kris sends Diane many happy tail wags, grateful hugs and happy girl kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
