Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

Krissi is a darling, friendly girl who prefers to be in the company of all others and is not species specific. Dogs are great. People are great. She's agreeable with all. Even though she was in a home before (her owners brought her to us when they were no longer able to care for her), she has not exhibited any fear or shyness toward anyone whatsoever. Kriss has an old leg injury that was, carelessly and unfortunately, never medically treated. It causes her to carry her hind leg close to her body, almost as if the bones healed in place that way. It does not bother her or inhibit her in any way and our vet thought it best to leave it alone. Speaking of which, our vet thought she was a real charmer, too! Krissie likes living in Homeward Bound with her friends. They play with toys together and cuddle up nicely. But we know she would thrive in a home with people who will make sure she never gets hurt again.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Eleanor Rigney, from Baltimore, Maryland, sent her this message: "Krissi, I hope you get adopted soon and I hope someone will give you a big hug from me to you!" Krissi sends Eleanor many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
