Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

Lida came out of a puppy mill in Kansas with her buddies Adil, Dali, and Bertie. She lost 13 teeth upon arrival. Her buddies lost a bunch of teeth as well. Lida is Bertie's best girlfriend. The other two girls don't know it. Lida and Bertie keep it on the down low. But they are secretly in love. She is the shyest of the harem and will shiver slightly when we hold her. She is slowly learning that hugs are good and Bertie is helping her get her self confidence in order. Lida will thrive in a home with gentle people who can convince her that she is perfect. She would probably love another doggy in her home; one that will help her learn how to be the playful poodle she deserves to be. Maybe a boy doggy that looks like her man, Bert, would help as well. Not a requirement, just a suggestion.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Patricia Scarpone, from Grass Valley, California, sent her this message: "You are a gorgeous girl! I'm so sorry that you had to live life in a puppy mill. I am so happy to see you are enjoying yourself at HUA and hope that you get a wonderful, loving home soon to make up for the lost years of your life spent in the mill. All my love to you, Patricia" Lida sends Patricia many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
