Mahala

be my buddy
Sheltie
Born: 11/09/2007
Medium
17 lbs
Female

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Carter Lake, Iowa.

Mahala Sheltie is just about the sweetest creature we've ever met. She was rescued from the pound in a small town near the shelter, but judging from her microchip, we believe she was born in and bought from a puppy mill. Luckily, she had been given a clean bill of health and is drop dead gorgeous. Mahala is very much the little lady. She waits politely for attention and soaks it up when it comes her way. She is particular about her space and keep things very clean and tidy. She is completely housebroken and loves her time outside, romping around the yard and playing with her people. Mahala will blend into a family easily and without drama. She is so grateful for every thing that is given to her and will be a loyal, lovely companion for the lucky people who choose her.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Michelle Rowe from Omaha, NE, sent her this message:
"Dear Mahala, What a beautiful and loving dog you are! I am very thankful to be your buddy until you find your forever home. All of the staff and volunteers at HUA will take care of you and play with you until that day. We are all keeping our fingers and paws crossed at the Rowe household for that day to come soon :) Love, Michelle, Ross, Sookie, Kitty, Hodge and Podge!" Mahala sends Michelle and the entire Rowe Family lots of happy kisses, tail wags and playful smiles!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
