Homeward bound-adopted!

Sweet, goofy, silly Megan lights up our days. When she sees people approaching her backside wiggles wildly and she grins from ear to ear. She adores humans of all varieties and she wants to make sure we all know it. Megan was found by some very nice people in Omaha who drove her all the way down to HUA as they refused to take her to a kill shelter. She is ever so grateful for their assistance. Megan can be a big baby when it comes to larger dogs. She is afraid of them and hides behind our legs if they're around. It makes us laugh to see her sensitive side and we assure her that no harm will come to her here. Her droopy eyes, velvety ears and perfect smattering of freckles melt our hearts and we think Megan is just the most precious of all animals.
Buddy Messages (3)
Her Buddy, Peg Ickes, from Los Alamos, New Mexico, sent her this message: "We have an elderly Basset at home, they are such loving, wonderful dogs! Megan looks like such a sweetheart, our hearts went out to her when we saw her picture, and we hope she finds a loving forever home soon." Megan sends Peg many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
Her Buddy, Donna Berggren, from Charlestown, Indiana, sent her this message: "I hope you find your forever home the meantime, I know that you will be loved and well taken care of at HUA." Megan sends Donna many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
Her Buddy, Ann Delashmutt, from Omaha, Nebraska, sent her this message: "Megan, you are adorable! We got our Bassett, Heloise (renamed Molly) from HUA 7 years ago. Bassetts are the sweetest, most loving breeds. Megan, you are so cute, we're sure you'll be in your forever home soon. Until then, Molly & I send ear and belly rubs, hugs and kisses to you." Megan sends Molly and Ann many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
