Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Aurora, CO.

Neal was brought to the shelter by the lady who owned him, but had decided that she didn't like his hair. We're sure it's obvious how we feel about that. But we're happy to have the little guy with us because he was not treated nicely by that woman. He was a little fearful of people when he got here, as if he expected to be punished at any moment. He has overcome that fear after learning that most people are nice and want nothing more than to love him. He has become playful and happy and carefree. He adores all the attention he gets and runs up to us every day as if it's been years since he's seen us. He makes us giggle at his enthusiasm and it is just so heartwarming to know that he is happy now. As a matter of fact, the only thing that can make Neal happier is a new home. He sure deserves it after being treated so unfairly in the one he had. He will attach himself to his new folks and be the best little friend they've ever known.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddies, Mary Catanzaro and Rollo, Nestle and Candy, from Wauconda, IL, sent Neal this message: "Neal, I think your hair is beautiful! I hope you soon get to shed it all over the house of someone who will love you for your personality, and that you can soon greet your new humans with a rub up against their legs, leaving a deposit of your beautiful hair behind as a memento. All the best, Mary Kay, the human for super-shedders Rollo, Nestle and Candy." Neal is happily waving to Mary and her furkids, and sends lots of hugs and kisses, too!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
