Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Walla Walla, Washington.

Periwinkle found herself at HUA because her owner could no longer care for her. That was a scary day for such a little kid. She was a little overwhelmed by all the hub-bub of the shelter and not quite used to so many things going on at once. It took her a day or two to figure out that hub-bub means FUN! and she hasn't looked back since. Peri is a sweetie pie who devours attention and wants to be held and cuddled. She also thinks playtime is an absolute hoot and loves loves loves her doggy friends. She hops and skips and wags and smiles at the fun, fun times to be had by all. Periwinkle is happy as a bug when after recess, we snuggle up with her and cradle her to a deep, restful sleep. She relaxes into our arms with the most content look on her tiny little face. Periwinkle knows she should be with a family and is waiting patiently while we find for her just the right one.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Cassie Rogers, from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, sent her this message: "Hang in there buddy, someone great is gonna adopt you!!!" Periwinkle sends Cassie many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
