Labrador Mix
Born: 11/01/2012
Medium
40 lbs
Female

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

We rescued Polly Puppy from the pound, where she was certain to meet an untimely death due to overcrowding. There is absolutely no way we could have let that happen to this precious baby. Polly is all puppy. She is busy, playful, nosy, happy, silly. She throws the biggest of all parties when she sees people coming to visit. She insists on being cradled and cuddled before the games begin. She loves hanging over our shoulders to peer around at this big new world, and would stay there forever if our arms didn't get so darn tired. Because she is still so young, Polly should acclimate nicely into just about any type of family. She will need training of course, and lots and lots of love to assure her that she will never again be left alone in a scary kennel where bad things happen. We figure Polly will be about 40 pounds fully grown and just as gorgeous as a girl can be.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Carol Roe, from Gillette, WY, sent her this message: "Hi Polly, you are so pretty. My dogs Bear and Sammy hope you will find a forever home as soon as you are ready to leave HUA. Tell the other puppies we love them too." Polly sends Carol, Bear and Sammy lots of grateful kisses and joyful puppy hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
