Homeward bound-adopted!

Stevie came to us from a Nebraska breeding facility. When we laid our eyes upon him, of course we thought he was just a baby. He is so itty bitty it is hard to believe that he even survived without superior vet care and tons of love. Perhaps because he is still a young boy, Steve bears no scars from being used as a machine. He is just about the sweetest, most affectionate little critter ever. He loves to tip toe around the sunporch visiting all the nice people. He begs to be held and curls up under a person's chin to snuggle in as tightly as he can. He thinks brief trips out to the play yard are a total blast and he comes in huffing and puffing and smiling about all the fun he had. Stevie longs to be a coddled and pampered lap dog who will be toted around and given all the spoiling that he missed out on for the first miserable year of his life.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Jeni Gossard from Austin, TX, sent him this message: "You look like the sweetest Chihuahua and I'm sure that you'll find a forever home quickly. For now I hope that you get the love and care you need from the wonderful people taking care of you. Though I live in Austin (TX) I am sending you lots of love! Jeni" Steve sends Jeni some neck snuggles and lots of little hugs and kisses!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
