Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Sterling Heights, MI.

Have you ever seen such a happy face? Did you laugh out loud as soon as you saw such pure delight shining from this little man? Would you ever guess that he is completely blind thanks to some numbskull 15 year-old kid who poked him in the eyes with a sharp stick? Disgusting and unbelievable, isn't it? What's even more unbelievable is that Tazzy is not only perfectly capable without his eyesight, he is also loving, friendly and full of joy. He is so well-behaved. He is a perfect little housekeeper and keeps his place sparkling clean. He is self sufficient. He loves to be let out in the morning to tour the yard and do his business, then comes right back in for his yummy breakfast. We think Tazzy is just about the biggest trooper we've ever known. He will do perfectly well in his new home, as long as he is shown his boundaries and is taught how to get about the place. Our Taz is a gigantic hero wrapped up in an adorable, tiny Chihuahua body.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Mark Hendricks, from Omaha, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Who could resist such a fine looking young man? You're in good hands at HUA and I'm sure you'll have a good time with all your new dog friends. I'll stop in the coming weeks to say hello." Tazzy sends Mark many happy, grateful hugs and kisses and looks forward to his visit.
His Buddy, Joan Berry from Aurora, Colorado, sent him this message: "My Dear Tazzy, I am SO sorry about the cruel treatment you received from that teenager. How you must have suffered. I am so glad that you have found out that not every human is that cruel. I hope that you find your forever home very soon. Maggie (my Sheltie) and I send our love and kisses to you. Joan and Maggie" Tazzy sends Joan and Maggie all his love and kisses in return!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
