Homeward bound-adopted!

Tisa was thrown out with other mill dogs who were no longer producing, and it was our great fortune to receive her at HUA. Tisa is THE favorite dog at the shelter. She has the most shining, lovely personality ever. She is a little doll. She loves attention and does squiggly little happy dances when we talk to her. She always has a big smile on her face and just cannot wait for people to lavish her with attention. Tisa's mouth was in horrible condition from years of neglect a the mill. She lost 13 teeth and has an unstable lower jaw from deterioration due to infection. This doesn't bother her at all, but it will require extra vigilance on the part of her humans to protect the jaw from injury. This bright-eyed happy little girl will go down in history as the most lovely little shining star to ever bring joy to the lucky family who adopts her. We do hope with all our hearts that she gets to know life in a home after all of her years of neglect and suffering.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Lori Stidham, from Abington, Pennsylvania, sent her this message: "Dear Tisa, My niece and nephew take after their Aunt Lori. They put on their Christmas list to please make a donation or sponsor a shelter dog in their name. (They're only 10 and 13 yrs old! Could this Aunt be any prouder?!) I chose you for them because HUA calls you a shining star. You've been through so much and yet you still shine, like a Christmas star. This family in PA will celebrate you with all of our rescued family dogs on Christmas day, I know they'll be so happy to click and visit you:) Get a furever home soon, sweet girl!!!" Tisa sends Kristina and James many happy, grateful hugs, kisses and Merry Christmas wishes and thanks them for being such wonderful young ambassadors for animals in shelters everywhere.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
