Tugger Featured

be my buddy
Springer Spaniel
Born: 07/02/2010
Large
44 lbs

Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

Tugger was brought to HUA by his owner due to a lack of room in the house and attention from the family. We are always perplexed when people purchase a puppy, not understanding that it will grow bigger, need time and care and a place to play. Nevertheless, we see it all too often and Tugger is just another victim of overzealous people getting young dogs and not thinking about the fact that it is a long and time-consuming commitment. Tugger is a super guy. He loves being with people and gets along tremendously with the other dogs. He likes to play and likes to run and likes to have fun. He rolls in the grass with sweet abandon, treasuring his awesome toys and the people that like to play with him. He is an active, gorgeous fellow who longs to feel wanted in his own home, surrounded by people who make time for him and adore having big fun as much as he doea.
Buddy Messages (2)
His Buddy, Brian Skutnik, from Omaha, Nebraska, sent him this message: "Tugger, keep smiling. I am sure a family will come and swoop you up soon, until then we would be honored to by your buddy. Teddy, Jake and their dad Brian" Tugger sends Brian, Jake and Teddy many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
His Buddy, Jyme Chambers, from Cayucos, California, sent her this message: "Tugger we wish you the best of luck in finding your forever home. We have a English Springer Spaniel like you only she is liver and white. Her name is Gabby and we adopted her. Springers are real SWEETHEARTS and they LOVE their people. You are a handsome guy and I know you will find a home with some land that you can run and play. Gabby is your long distance buddy as she lives in Ca. Sincerely, Gabby and her parents" Tugger sends Gabby and her wonderful family many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
