Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Blair, Nebraska.

This sweet, shy little girl is so adorable. She was rescued from a mill dog auction where she was purchased for 25 cents in order to save her life. Dogs were not selling well that day, many not at all. If rescuers had not been there to take them they would have all perished. Unna and all of her friends who were rescued that day look to people for love. Unna is especially needy and loving. How disappointed they must have been to suffer in a wretched mill for so many years. This is one of the only Missouri mills we have ever heard of to be ordered closed by the state, and from the horrible filthy condition the dogs arrived in we can see why. Unna lost 23 teeth at her first vet visit and is now feeling great. She is so happy to be clean, warm, loved and healthy. It doesn't seem like much, but to a Unna and her friends it means everything.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Aimee Powell, from Plattsmouth, Nebraska, sent her this message: "Hi Unna! You look so sweet and friendly! We're glad to hear that you have left the past behind you and have bright, warm and loving days to look forward to! Daisy is also a rescued schnauzer, and she sends you a special hello. We know you'll find your forever home soon." Unna sends Aimee and Daisy many happy, grateful Schnauzer girl kisses and hugs.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
