Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Omaha, Nebraska.

A very nice person who found Winola brought her to us in some pretty bad shape. We assume she had been on the streets for a while and probably was hit by a car, as her abdomen was covered in horrible, painful abrasions. Our hearts hurt for this precious girl, who seemed as sweet as can be. The vet took care of her injuries, which were badly infected and took quite some time to heal. Otherwise, Winola is in great shape and such a darling kid. She is a calm, easy-going, relaxed little gal despite all the trauma she's endured. She is a little bit sensitive and we are careful to use sweet and tender words around her to assure her that she is now cherished and adored. Winola loves her dog friends and all visitors, and she is super excited to know that soon she will have her forever and always home, with a nice fenced yard where she can play freely and know that she is safe and sound.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddy, Kimberly Isada, from Anchorage, Alaska, sent her this message: "Winola, You are a beautiful girl! I hope you find a great new home soon! The Isada Family". Winola sends the Isada family many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
