Indigo came to HUA as a stray, found wandering along the highway located close to the shelter. It's possible that the sweet thing was dumped by her family - many times dogs are found nearby, as if the people wanted their dogs to come to the shelter but didn't have enough nerve to drop them off. Whatever the case, we are grateful that Indigo found her way to us as she is utter delight. She is super friendly and loving to all humans and all the dogs she's met. She is playful yet serene, joyful yet laidback. We love her long, gangly legs and snoopy nose. We love her warm brown eyes and gorgeous coloring. Indigo is just all things good and we think she'll be the perfect addition to just about any type of family.

Her Buddy Kayla Eschenbacher from Seattle, WA says "Hey beautiful! My parents have my adopted puppies Taurus, Scout, and Lusi in Montana, you would love it there, and we would love to have you. Taurus says she would love you to play in the snow with her! Wishing you happy trails on your road to happiness." Indigo sends Kayla many happy, grateful wags and kisses!
Her Buddies, Lin and Bob Meehan, from Vienna, VA, sent her this message: "You certainly did land in the right place when HUA found you. Foxhounds like you are pretty and smart. I'm sure a family that deserves you will find you soon. Our rescues, foxhound Asia and rescue beagle Buddy, say hello and are looking forward to reading that you are in your new home soon." Indigo hopes to be sending that good news really soon, too, and sends Bob, Lin, Asia and Buddy lots of playful, sweet smiles and many grateful kisses!
Her Buddy, Jessica Cooper, from East Hartford, Connecticut, sent her this message: "Dear Indigo, you look like our dog Snickers. And I know that my dog's cuteness is what made my parents rescue her. So I know that your cuteness will help you in the same way! Love, Jessica (age 10, East Hartford CT)" Indigo sends Jessica and her dear Snickers many happy, grateful hugs and kisses.
