Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in La Vista, Nebraska

A cuter face we're certain we've never seen, and Marion has the personality to match her incredible good looks. This little girl was found running the streets in a small town near the shelter. She was quite a mess when she came in, but our biggest concern was the row of mammary tumors that we were afraid may be life-threatening. We got her to the vet right away and sure enough, the tumors were cancerous. That was the bad news. The good news was that the vet was able to completely remove the mammary tissue on both sides, and sweet Marion's prognosis is very good. She is a darling, shy, unassuming, precious soul who loves to snuggle. She is affectionate with everyone and really wants nothing more than a comfortable lap and kind words. Marion loves the other small dogs at the shelter and is just an easy-liver. She asks only for a loving home and some good old-fashioned spoiling.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her buddy, Kelly Tripp, from Lincoln, NE, sent her this message: "You are a beauty Marion! I'm so happy I'm able to give a little help to HUA in taking care of you! To be completely honest, Ava, my one year old gsd, asked me to be your buddy on her behalf! We're sending you lots of love!" Marion sends Kelly and Ava all her love in return, along with little shy kisses and happy tail wags!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
