Homeward bound-adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Merriam and her brother Melvern were found abandoned on an Indian Reservation in Kansas. Other than being cold and hungry, both pups seemed to be OK and just in need of the basics: food, shelter, love. They are supremely grateful for all of it and are fun-loving, silly, clumsy Lab puppies that have no bad ideas or preconceived notions. Merriam loves playing all day and throws big celebrations when people come to visit. Now that she is becoming a big girl, we will have to break it to her that she is neither a baby nor a lap dog. She does enjoy being carted around and well, we can still manage it somewhat, so we'll wait just a bit longer before we treat her like a tween.
Buddy Messages (1)
Her Buddies, Tiffanie and Jordan Jurey, from Omaha, NE, sent her this message: "Merriam, you're SUCH a sweetheart. We have two dogs that would love to be your friend and are wishing you much happiness at HUA during your stay and that you find a forever home soon. Much love, Tiffanie & Jordan" Merriam sends Tiffanie and Jordan and their two furkids many BIG puppy kisses and lots of grateful hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
