Murphy Featured

be my buddy
Australian Shepherd
Born: 09/12/2010
Large
57 lbs
Male

Murphy came from a home of hardship and when his family was forced to move they were unable to bring him along. Broken hearts were all around, but Murphy decided to make the best of his new situation and his love for people overcame his sorrow. Murphy has big fun showing off his smart tricks and as long as humans are around, he is a happy camper. He adores attention and soaks up the love from the caregivers and volunteers. He can be particular about other dogs, so he would need to meet any potential fur siblings before going home. Murphy is just an all around great, smart dog who deserves the best of everything and appreciates every good thing that comes his way.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddies, Laurie Leseth, Peg O'Neill, and HUA alums Maya, Sophie and Jack, from Ft. Calhoun, NE, sent him this message: "Murphy we are so sad you lost your home but we just know you are going to find a forever home soon. Love and kisses to you sweet friend." Murphy sends Peg, Laurie and their furbabies SO MANY grateful kisses and hugs of joy, and lots of happy tail wags, too!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
