Homeward Bound! - Adopted!

Now happily living in Omaha, NE

Nicholas was brought to the shelter by his owner who was unable to properly care for him any longer. Nicholas is blind. To some folks this would appear to be a disability. It absolutely is not. Nick is accustomed to using his other senses to make his way through life, and he is as active, happy, and adjusted as any other great Lab. He is a sweet, friendly guy who loves people and loves romping around in the big yards. He wants to please and adores attention. Nicholas will need some basic training once he gets to his new home so that he knows and understands the ropes. Once he is familiar with his new surroundings, he will be one very happy, very capable young pup.

I have heard that you are well mannered and learn about new surroundings and circumstances quite easily. You are such a smart, charming, adorable guy. Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
