be my buddy
Bichon Frise
Born: 09/15/2006
Small
10 lbs
Male

Pogo is named for his uncanny ability to bounce like a pogo stick all over the yard. The other dogs stop and stare, for it is a sight to behold. He is a bunny in a dog's body. We can tell he loves his performance by his wide grin and amazing stamina. This talented gentleman, believe or not, was rescued from a Nebraska puppy mill and was one pathetic creature. He was so terrified of us that he cowered and cringed in a corner and did not want anyone to approach him. We've been working hard at socializing Pogo and making sure he knows he is now safe from harm. He has started to believe us, which is very gratifying. We know a home will be the perfect ending to what we have begun - convincing Pogo that humans are GOOD THINGS to have around.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Christy Meyen from Omaha, NE, sent him this message: "Pogo, So glad you made your way to HUA. Sending you love and puppy snuggles. We know you will find your forever home soon! Christy, Chance, Chelsea, Brody, Scarlett, and Higgins." Pogo sends the entire Meyen family many grateful kisses and little hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
