Homeward Bound - Adopted!

Now living happily in Lincoln, NE

Rippin was rescued from the pound. Being a large, black, male dog was not working in his favor, and we knew this boy was worth saving. He is a great guy - young, energetic, full of life and smart as a whip. He has settled in nicely here at the shelter and is showing great potential with some obedience training. He adores people and will do what we ask to please us. Rippin is still puppy-ish and and goofy as can be. Everything is fun for him and every new adventure pleases him to no end. He is learning some tricks and finding out what it is to be happy and carefree. Rippin would love a busy family who will include him in all the fun activities and continue teaching him gentlemanly manners and smart tricks.
Buddy Messages (1)
His Buddy, Sharon Schmitt, from Fairfax, VA, sent him this message: "Rippin, Everyone in our household, 2- and 4-footed, would be honored to be your buddy until your forever family is lucky enough to spot you. It looks to us like you've got the whole package: brains, looks, great energy and ability to learn. Any family who wants a smart, super handsome companion who's up for adventure will snap you up. Meanwhile, the great folks at HUA will give you lots of love, learning and excellent care. And we'll have your back." Rippin sends Sharon and her family LOTS of enthusiastic kisses and many very grateful hugs!

Thanks for Visiting Our Animals!

Hearts United for Animals is a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. We require an application, references and a home visit to adopt one of our dogs. Our dogs are all spayed or neutered and are current on health care. We can cat test a dog if requested. If you are interested in adopting a dog, we can give you more information on each dog if you click the Adoption Info & Application link above. Buddies are people who support the dog and send them love while they are waiting for their new home. The dog does not live with the buddy.
